Look at him bleed. How nice, how pretty. Nothing to him really. he thinks he is better, so much smarter than us, but there is nothing to him. Bloody man. Bloody Mary. Smoking all the time. Yes he is bleeding now. Good. Ah, sweet justice. He suffers. Let us stand together. He is mad. Alone all the time, must be mad. Alone because he thinks himself better. Now he is bleeding.

"Completely healed and released from the hospital, Arthur's first act is to send his mother the post card she's been praying for:
POST CARD: Dear Mother, Your prayers have been answered. I am saved, and am coming home. Arthur
Soon, the mother and her son are happily reunited:
ARTHUR LOCK: Mother, thank you for all of your prayers.
EMMA LOCK: Oh, my son! God bless you! I'm so GLAD you've come home!
ARTHUR LOCK: Mother, I don't know why I didn't realize it in all these years, but GOD IS A GOOD GOD!"

Gay, Family, Relationships
I have always wondered how it works out, the gay person's relationship with disapproving but otherwise loving parents. The relationship where things didn't go bad until the lifestyle became an issue. Or does that not happen? Are all disapproving parents of gay people selfish or abusive or cold brutes with no real desire for their child's best interest? Do children from close, loving, but uncompromisingly conservative backgrounds not turn out gay? Or do they stay in the closet to protect themselves from parental disapproval?
In a more general sense (meaning whether or not homosexuality is a factor), how does it work, the rebellion against parents who have been neither abusive nor indifferent?
